Hoxton Art Gallery invites you to The Pleasure Principal on Thursday 31st May 7 - 9pm. The exhibition celebrates our first anniversary.

The Pleasure Principal investigates the mode of 21st century living and contemporary consumerist culture through the work of four talented contemporaries: Steven Dickie, Rebecca Griffiths, Tom Gallant and Ha Young Kim.

Each artist explores the contemporary human psyche in relation to our dependence on selfish repetitive acts through modern technologies and the perverse and often self-destructive culture of consuming. False profits, quick hits, shiny products, internet zones and unnatural exchanges give our lives structure but how do these improve our existence and what is the future?

The Pleasure Principal runs from June 1st - July 21st 2012.
